Sarva means all, and bhadra means auspicious, thus it is the most auspicious chakra which takes all into account. Beneficence of this particular chakra is seen from many points. This is the primary chakra which takes into account 28 nakshatras (including Abhijit nakshatra). In four squares which form a perfect pyramid, an astrologer (besides nakshatras) can see all consonants, rashis, tithis, and days.
Thus, the right interpretation of janma nakshatra, day, tithi, and other points will benefit the astrologer in various aspects of this divine knowledge. It is one of the best tools for judging effects of graha gochara, but it is also very useful in judging natal chart positions and in muhurta charts. It is believed that the use of the Sarvatobhadra chakra in muhurta grants success!

The Concept of Vedha
The main tool for judging the results in this chakra is called Vedha. Vedha means piercing, pious, etc., and it refers to the ability of a graha (planet) which causes vedha to put some field of life under its influence. This also means that vedha has good and bad aspects which depend on whether it is caused by a malefic or a benefic planet. This raises the first main principle in this chakra:
- a) Soumya graha causes favourable vedha.
- b) Krura graha causes unfavourable vedha.
- c) Motion of a planet is very important: a retrograde benefic is three times stronger as a benefic than in direct motion, whilst a retrograde malefic is extremely unfavourable.
- d) Beneficence/bad effects are in correlation with the basic karakatvas of planets (e.g., Sun causes ego problems, misunderstandings; Mars causes fights, loss of wealth; Rahu and Ketu cause all kinds of troubles and accidents, etc.).
Four Types of Vedha:
- Hind vedha: Upper diagonal vedha, considered specially important (strong) when caused by a retrograde planet.
- Across vedha: Horizontal vedha, considered specially important when a planet is in stationary motion.
- Fore vedha: Lower diagonal vedha, considered specially important in the case of a planet in direct motion.
- Corner vedha: Formed when a planet is placed in the last pada of the last nakshatra in a line (i.e., Bharani, Asresha, Vishakha, and Shravana) and in the first pada of the starting nakshatra in a new line (Krittika, Magha, Anuradha, and Dhanishta).
Using the Sarvatobhadra Chakra
In the sarvatobhadra chakra, the focus is on sensitive points, which can affect the native in an auspicious or inauspicious manner. These sensitive points and their meanings are:
- Janma nakshatra: Refers to the quality of thought and good judgment/confusion and worries in the case of krura vedha.
- Janma tithi: Refers to relationships; under malefic vedha, it brings problems in relationships, quarrels, and fights.
- Janma rashi: Refers to happenings in the area which is seen from the bhava where janma rashi is placed; under malefic vedha, it shows problems in that area and vice versa.
- Consonants: Janma consonant shows the state of the physical body; under malefic vedha, it brings losses and bad reputation.
- Vowels: Refer to living prana which connects everything, hence health matters. Under malefic vedha, it brings diseases and bad health.
Case Study 1: Female - Suicide Case
Female born on March 14th, 1955 at 2:00 PM IST at Lat: 15° E 51' & Long: 44° N 18'.

Principle: If all given parameters are under krura vedha, death can be predicted. Effects could be graded in correlation with the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of the transit vedha.
In the given example, we can see that Janma nakshatra is badly afflicted by Rahu (placed in the nakshatra), Mars, and Mercury (malefic due to conjunction with Mars, and retrograde, making it a three times stronger malefic). Janma tithi has malefic vedha from three malefics (Mars, Mercury, Saturn) and one benefic (Moon). Janma rashi receives krura vedha from the Sun and is placed in the 5th bhava (showing intelligence issues). The consonant receives krura vedha from Mars, Mercury, and Saturn. Four of five sensitive points are under strong malefic influence, which resulted in suicide.
Case Study 2: Adolf Hitler
Born on 20th April 1889 at 6:30 PM IST at Lat: 13° E 03' & Long: 48° N 15'.

Analysis: Janma Nakshatra is badly afflicted by all malefics (Ketu joined, while Rahu, Mars, and Saturn give vedha), showing a state of confusion and wrong decisions. Janma tithi has Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu as krura vedhas and Mercury as benefic vedha. Sagittarius receives vedha from Ketu, Rahu, and Saturn. All malefic influences are centered around the Janma nakshatra, showing mental state, death, and the historical fall of Germany.
Case Study 3: Milosevic's Fall
Born on 20th August 1941 at 10:00 PM IST at Lat: 21° E 12' & Long: 44° N 38'.

Analysis: On the day of Milosevic's fall, the sarvatobhadra chakra shows very inauspicious transits. While the first two cases ended in death, this case ended with loss of power, position, and reputation. The most afflicted point is the consonant related to name and fame. Janma rashi is also under krura vedha from Mars and Rahu, proving the loss of support.
Other Uses
There are four types of boxes in the sarvatobhadra chakra: nakshatra, consonant, sign, and tithi. Each carries its own energy and significance.
- Nakshatras: Apart from Janma nakshatra, other constellations cover different segments of life (e.g., 10th nakshatra from Janma nakshatra is Karma nakshatra related to profession; 18th is Samudayaka related to spouse's prosperity).
- Consonants: Malefic influences on our name show changes in reputation, especially prominent for presidents and public figures.
- Signs (Rashis): The Lagna sign is the most important; the nature of vedha on it shows how our intelligence (dhi) works.
- Tithis: Five groups of tithis (Nanda, Bhadra, Jaya, Rikta, Purna) have a major role in choosing the right muhurta chart.
